The meeting of AC and Inter Milan on matchday two of the new Serie A season could provide some interesting early pointers toward whether the current balance of power moves from the blues to the reds. All pre-season form suggested that AC would struggle to find their form under rookie coach, Leonardo. However, they won their opening fixture at Siena, thanks to two goals from Alexandre Pato, but club chairman, Silvio Berlusconi, has still voiced concerned about team formation.

nter Milan were expected to kick their title defence off with an easy home win over newly promoted Bari, but the game didn't go to script. Samuel Eto'o got off the mark with a penalty, but that was cancelled out by a surprise away strike, leaving the Nerazzurri a little embarrassed. This fixture has seen honours shared over the previous two seasons, and in four of the last five meetings the game has ended 2-1.
